AI Developer in Rajshahi, Bangladesh

I'm Md. Emamul Mursalin, an AI developer in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. I build AI agent products, AI-powered mobile apps, MVPs and full-stack web platforms from my desk here in the city, and I work with two kinds of clients: businesses and founders in Rajshahi who want a developer they can sit across a table from, and remote clients in the US, UK, Europe and Australia who want a senior engineer they can reach during their working day.

Rajshahi is not where most people look for an AI developer, and that is exactly why I stay. Rajshahi University and RUET produce strong engineers every year, the cost of living lets me keep rates sensible, and a quiet city is a good place to do deep technical work. If you are in Rajshahi, we can meet in person. If you are anywhere else, everything I do is set up to run remotely.

What I build as an AI developer in Rajshahi

My work centres on production AI: software that uses large language models to actually do something for a business rather than demo well. That includes AI agents that call tools and complete multi-step tasks, retrieval systems (RAG) that answer questions from your own documents, chat and voice assistants inside web and mobile apps, and automations that take repetitive work off a team. Around that core I build the product itself — the Next.js front end, the NestJS API, the PostgreSQL database, Stripe billing, and the deployment.

For local businesses the request is often simpler: a booking system, an inventory or customer database, a website that ranks, or a mobile app for customers. I built EasySearch, a local services marketplace for Rajshahi, on exactly this stack, and I am happy to start with the practical problem and add AI only where it earns its place.

  • AI agent SaaS products with sign-in, billing and usage metering
  • AI-powered mobile apps for iOS and Android with React Native and Expo
  • MVPs for startups — one core workflow, live in 2-6 weeks
  • AI integration into software you already run: chatbots, search, summarisation
  • Full-stack web platforms on Next.js, NestJS and PostgreSQL
  • AI strategy sessions and fractional CTO support

Working with businesses in Rajshahi

Most software work in Rajshahi still goes to agencies in Dhaka or to whoever is cheapest online. Working with a developer in your own city changes the dynamic: we can meet at your office or a café, I can see how your team actually works, and there is no time lost to translation between a salesperson and the person writing the code. I do discovery meetings in person anywhere in Rajshahi and then run the build the same way I run remote projects — a shared board, weekly written updates and a demo at every milestone.

I also mentor and occasionally hire from the Rajshahi University and RUET computer science community, so if a project grows beyond one person I can bring in a second pair of hands I have already vetted, rather than a stranger from a marketplace.

Working with remote clients from Rajshahi

The majority of my revenue comes from clients outside Bangladesh, and Rajshahi is a perfectly good place to serve them from. My working day in UTC+6 overlaps the full UK and EU afternoon and both ends of the US day; I keep a fixed call window for each client and handle the rest asynchronously. Fibre internet, a proper home office and a backup connection mean calls and demos are reliable.

Remote clients get the same terms as anyone else: a fixed-price proposal with milestones, a contract with IP assignment, invoices in USD payable by Wise, Payoneer or bank transfer, and code that lives in their own GitHub organisation from day one. Several of my case studies — Virtual Client, Contently AI, MedScribe — were built for clients I have never met in person.

Packages and pricing

I publish fixed prices so nobody has to guess. AI integration into an existing product starts at $799 for a single feature delivered in one to two weeks. An MVP starts at $999 for one core workflow and goes to $2,999 for a launch-ready product with payments and an AI feature. AI agent SaaS products start at $1,499, and the multi-tenant Professional tier with RAG and agent workflows is $4,999 over five to eight weeks. A marketing website or landing page built to rank is $499.

For anything that does not fit a package — a local business system, a longer engagement, or a team that needs part-time senior help — I bill hourly at $100-150 or on a monthly retainer from $500. Rajshahi clients paying in taka get the same scope at the prevailing rate.

Frequently asked questions

Are you actually based in Rajshahi?

Yes. I live and work in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, and travel to Dhaka when a client needs me there. My office is set up for remote work with fibre internet and a backup connection, so being in Rajshahi never gets in the way of a call or a deployment.

Can we meet in person in Rajshahi?

Yes. For local businesses I prefer to do the first discovery meeting face to face, at your office or somewhere central in the city. After that we can keep meeting in person at milestones or switch to calls, whichever suits your team.

How much does a software developer in Rajshahi charge?

Rates in Rajshahi vary from a few hundred taka an hour for students to agency day rates. I publish fixed prices instead: websites from $499, MVPs from $999, AI integrations from $799, and AI agent products from $1,499. Hourly work is $100-150. Local clients can pay in taka at the prevailing rate.

Do you work with clients outside Bangladesh from Rajshahi?

Most of my clients are outside Bangladesh — startups and companies in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and the EU. Being in UTC+6 means I overlap with the UK and EU afternoon and with US mornings and evenings, and I run every project so that it works asynchronously in between.

Do you build mobile apps as well as web software?

Yes. I build cross-platform iOS and Android apps with React Native and Expo, usually with an AI feature such as a chat assistant, voice input or image understanding, and I handle App Store and Play Store submission. For a Rajshahi business that mostly needs a customer-facing app, that is often the first thing we build.

Can you add AI to software my business already uses?

Usually, yes. If your system has an API or a database I can reach, I can add a support chatbot, document search, summarisation or an automated workflow beside it without rewriting anything. The Starter AI integration package covers one feature in one to two weeks from $799.
